Buccanos beach

For a relaxing day in a beautiful setting, one of our favorite destinations is Buccanos beach club on the north end of the island.

Admission is $20 USD or 400 pesos, which you can credit towards food & drinks. The food is very good here so we never have a problem using the credit.

Our food go-to here is the fish tacos, which you can get in either mahi or tuna, grilled or fried. The craft cocktails are also good here, albeit a bit pricey.

The club features a sandy lounge area shaded by palms. There is also an infinity pool surrounded by loungers, tables and chairs. There is a large covered dining area in case you need to escape the sun while you eat. We have never had a problem finding good seating, although parties of more than a few people may have difficulty finding a row of empty loungers together.

One very nice feature is a calm, sandy cove that makes getting in and out of the water easy. Once you’re in the water, clarity is excellent and the limestone walls that are typical of Cozumel are directly to your right and left. You can swim along the walls to see a plethora of fish and the occasional eel or octopus.

The club also offers massage services and rental equipment.

For a relaxing day with good food, good swimming, and great service, we highly recommend Buccanos.
